Cops have too much power?

Well, do they?

I believe they do. Contrary to what the government will have us believe, police officers are humans. They make mistakes. Unfortunately, when they make mistakes, people are maimed or killed. The justice system, however, does not seem to believe police officers are capable of wrong.

SOPA - it's not over.

There is a virtually SOPA part 2 coming out. It's called CISPA, which is short for Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act. It violates your rights to free speech.

U.S. Government Invades Privacy and Censors - SOPA, PIPA

Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA, seeks to give the government methods of battling online piracy. Unfortunately, it does this by invading U.S. citizens' privacy and impacting freedom of speech. The PROTECT IP act also has similar ramifications.

Join the movement to oppose SOPA and PIPA! Stop censorship! Let your voice be heard!

Kim Jong Il Dead - Pictures of His Body

Kim Jong Il has died. I'm sure some people would like to see pictures of his body. I would not, though. I have respect for the dead. Besides, I don't think they're released. I must say, from the perspective of an American girl, Kim Jong Il was an interesting person. I wonder what effect his death will have on his people. The cause of death is a bit suspect. According to his spokesman, he died from 'fatigue'. Interesting.

In memory of the fearless leader, here is the post in Korean:

National Defense Authorization Act

As some of you may know, the National Defense Authorization Act has passed congress. The act would allow the president the ability to indefinitely detain terrorism suspects, including US citizens, WITHOUT TRIAL.

Does anyone realize how dangerous this is?

Does the WITHOUT TRIAL part strike fear into anyone's heart?

It should.

Act now before it is too late. Acting is a three step process.

Step 1: Educate yourself.

Step 2: Write to politicians.
