Kim Jong Il Dead - Pictures of His Body

Kim Jong Il has died. I'm sure some people would like to see pictures of his body. I would not, though. I have respect for the dead. Besides, I don't think they're released. I must say, from the perspective of an American girl, Kim Jong Il was an interesting person. I wonder what effect his death will have on his people. The cause of death is a bit suspect. According to his spokesman, he died from 'fatigue'. Interesting.

In memory of the fearless leader, here is the post in Korean:

National Defense Authorization Act

As some of you may know, the National Defense Authorization Act has passed congress. The act would allow the president the ability to indefinitely detain terrorism suspects, including US citizens, WITHOUT TRIAL.

Does anyone realize how dangerous this is?

Does the WITHOUT TRIAL part strike fear into anyone's heart?

It should.

Act now before it is too late. Acting is a three step process.

Step 1: Educate yourself.

Step 2: Write to politicians.

Step 3: Raise awareness. Blog about this, post about it on facebook, tell everyone you know, sign petitions.

Liz Vincent Lives!

She does. I promise. She's just busier than a prostitute on Valentine's Day. When I started the job, I didn't think it'd turn out like this. ;) Hehe. Nahhh, I'm kidding, bro. But yes, thanks to all of you who have stuck with me.

You're the best.

Scarlett Johansson Leaked Pics

Ms. Johansson had some pics of her posing naughtily leaked on the web. I saw them. I must say, I'm not impressed. She should have just posed for Playboy or something. At least then she would have gotten airbrushing, make up, etc and she would have looked decent. Hell, she could have even learned photoshop and airbrushed herself.

What do my readers think of her pics?

The DREAM Act

California has done it again, my friends. They've somehow passed another piece of toxic legislation that can do nothing but harm our state.

What is this legislation I speak of? The DREAM Act.

In essence, it allows illegal immigrants to receive government aid for education.

The state is already in debt. Legal residents are having trouble getting financial aid. Schools are closing. Universities are cutting classes. Tuition is going up.

Yet we have money for illegal immigrants' college education? No, we don't.

The argument is that paying for illegal immigrants' college education is a good investment. Surprise, it's not. 85% of college graduates are moving back home after graduating [1].

Does that sound like a good investment? I sure don't want my tax dollars being poured into an individual who is probably going to move back home and not get a job when he/she graduates. I'd rather my tax dollars be put into roads, schools, etc - investments with longevity.

So here's to you, California. I'll pour some malt liquor on the curb for you.

Racist California Bill: SB 185

SB 185 has passed the senate and the assembly, and is awaiting review by Governor Brown. If passed, the bill will allow the University of California to use race as a factor in making admissions decisions.

Pro-affirmative action folks can talk about 'leveling the playing field' all they want, but at the end of the day, they are endorsing a program that makes decisions about people based on skin color. What sort of example are we setting for our children? "Oh, Johny. It's okay to judge people by their skin color, but only sometimes." Is that what we want in our society?

I say 'no' - and so did California voters in 1996 when we voted yes on Proposition 209, which prohibited public institutions from using race, sex, or ethnicity in making admissions decisions.

Please write to Governor Brown with your opinions here:

May Allah Bless Ahmadinejad

Ahmadinejad has been pissing off Westerners for years now. He never fails to bring his A game. And this year was no exception. At the U.N. meeting in New York, he said, "[Westerners] still use the Holocaust after six decades as the excuse to pay [a] fine or ransom to the Zionists."

Now how did our respectable American delegates respond? They led a 'walk out.' What a bunch of pussies. What are they, kindergartners? I expect this shit from the women on 'The View,' but not from U.S. delegates - despite the fact that they've done this before.

And this, my friends, is what is wrong with America. We simply cannot handle different points of view. We like to hear the same thing over and over again. You turn on CNN and watch a segment. Then you re-watch that segment on NBC. They you re-watch (albeit with a bit of humor added) on Colbert and Stewart. Then you read the same information on Yahoo news. It's all the same shit, just different packaging.

When someone, like Ahmadinejad, presents a point of view that is different, American people pee their pants and run. They simply can't handle the fact that different points of view exist.

I happen to believe that Ahmadinejad's rants are not based on facts, but that doesn't mean I won't listen to them. Whether Americans like it or not, he is a significant political force in this world. And as civilized individuals, we are obligated, at the very least, to hear his perspective. If we dislike it, we are welcome to dispute it and respond with facts.

But we should not, unless lives are threatened, walk out. This makes the U.S. appear both aloof and pretentious. Do really want to present this image to the world? We should be a nation that is open to discussion, not a nation with delegates that believe they are on a playground.

And this is why I say, "May Allah bless Ahmadinejad."

In honor of Ahmadinejad, I will translate my post into both Persian and Arabic. Enjoy.

In Arabic:

قراء العربية مرحبا. اليوم سوف أكون في الكتابة عن خطاب Ahmadjine

New York City Cops Dirty Dancing

A video of some New York City cops dirty dancing has surfaced on the web. Apparently they just got caught up in the moment at a West Indian parade - this is according to the mayor and their chief. Others think they are just horny. The cops have not been suspended, but they are under investigation.

I'd like to see what they think of my booty.

Russian Guy Gropes 2,000 Boobs in a Few Days

You read correctly. myducksvision, a Russian youtuber, posted a video of himself touching the breasts of 1,000 different women. All of the women consented. How did he do it?

Well, good ole Liz knows how. He simply offered them sexual favors. Now I know some of my 1.2 million readers might be confused, so I shall clarify. myducksvision offered sexual favors in exchange for sexual favors. Look, it's a perfect exchange. You can't get a simpler transaction. I don't know why no one has realized it. There are even instances in the video in which the females grab myducksvision's breasts.

Aren't I a doll for sharing such insightful thoughts with my followers?

Gibson Guitar Company Raided

The U.S. government has once again made it difficult to do business in the U.S. This time they raided an American company over unfounded accusations of violations of an archaic law. You'd think after years of choking on the country's debt the government would want to be more friendly toward domestic businesses. But no. They want to raid them with armed men.

In this specific instance, the feds raided two Gibson factories in Tennessee. The claim is that Gibson violated the Lacey Act, an early 20th century act, signed by President McKinley, that prohibits the trade of goods that were taken illegally from their country of origin. In the case of Gibson, the allegations are that some of their wood was exported from Indian prior to being finished by Indian workers.

I can think of hundreds of rational ways to deal with the allegations, but none of them include raiding the factory with armed men and confiscating the raw materials. The fed's actions rash actions cast undeserved doubt on one of America's most iconic companies and damage the international opinion of American products.

Good job, federal government - you masochistic bastard.

What Is Labor Day?

Everyone has wondered this at some point in their life. I tend to wonder it most when I find myself working on Labor Day. Luckily for you, my lovely readers, your darling Liz has the answer to your Labor Day questions.

To start things off, Labor Day is observed on the first Monday of every September. It was first observed on September 5th in 1882 by the Central Labor Union of New York. It was made an official holiday by President Cleveland in in 1894. Unfortunately this was not an act of generosity. It was a political move to reestablish Cleveland's ties with the labor movement after U.S. Marshals killed laborers during the rowdy Pullman Strike.

And there you have it. So this Labor Day, spend the day thinking about U.S. Marshals killing protestors and selfish presidents making political moves. Hey, I'll toast to that.

Fast and...Furiously Stupid

"Fast and Furious" - the name of an operation orchestrated by the ATF to help them build a case against Mexican cartels. During the operation, they let cartels get their hands on thousands of tactical guns (e.g. .50 cal sniper rifles) through straw purchases.

Of course the plan fell apart. The BATF lost track of a huge number of the guns. And they didn't end up making any strides against the cartels. In fact, all that really happened is the cartels became more armed. They even shot down a helicopter with the arms, and killed a border patrol agent, Brian Terry.

So basically, American tax dollars directly funded the cartels' violence. Brilliant. And there are actually people for increasing federal taxes?

Thankfully, some of the people behind the operation are paying for their idiocy. For instance, Dennis K. Burke, a U.S. attorney, and Ken Melson, ATF director, have resigned.

Here's the genius behind the operation:

Why Steve Jobs Resigned

Steve Jobs resigned. We know that. But everyone is wondering why. Well, I have a theory. It is somewhat speculative, but I can assure you my theory is supported by plenty of evidence. Basically, Steve Jobs was sick of holding up crappy, over-priced products while wearing jeans and an out of style shirt. It was the combination of all three factors that convinced him to leave. He would have stayed on if they just made him hold up crappy products and look excited.

But Apple wanted more. They wanted him to wear jeans and an out of style shirt while he held up the crappy, over-priced products. Personally, I see nothing wrong with Steve's decision. In fact, I would have done the same thing. To be honest, I don't think I could have even mustered the feeble facial expressions that he managed while holding up the crappy, over-priced products.

On second thought, if Apple made me hold all that shit up while wearing out of style shirts and jeans, I would have hired large animals to sodomize every employee of the company.

The Guard

Great, NATO has created yet another unstable Mideastern country. If I were evil, I'd clap like I was watching the PGA tour.

I think we all know what everyone is really worried about though. The Amazonian Guard, one of the world's only all female body guard units. Who would want to dissolve something so amazing?

He won the Young Republicans Straw Poll in New Hampshire. Let's hope he can follow that victory with more victories until he ends up in the White House. If only the media would give him the coverage he deserves.... Why do they cover the Queen of Rage so much?

In other news, S&P is being investigated on past mortgage ratings. Maybe something earth shattering will be discovered, and they'll lose all their credibility.

And maybe I'm not 15 pounds overweight. Too bad I am. :(

Rioting in London

Apparently there has been some rioting in London after the police shot a 29-year-old man. Molotov cocktails were deployed in response. I wish I knew the circumstances surrounding the individual's death, but I don't.

Also, FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU S&P. Isn't it amazing that a privately owned corporation can destroy a superpower's economy?

Pottermore

For those of you that don't know, J.K. Rowling created a site with a clock that counted down to the day of an announcement about a mysterious project called "Pottermore." Naturally, this generated a lot of hype. Would she release a new novel? A lexicon? Short stories?

Well, she made the announcement. And Pottermore is...a website. Son of a prostitute. That's right, a website. Aren't there already a million Harry Potter websites? I don't care if this one is different. At the end of the day, it's just a website.

The Perfect Meal

So I went out to eat with my grandparents tonight. We went to a really expensive restaurant. We all had to dress up for the occasion. I ordered the filet mignon as usual. It came with broccoli and a baked potato.

But the filet mignon was the star. It was bsolutely delicious. It was incredibly tender. It was served with a cognac cream sauce. I could taste the sauce mingling with the spices and the taste of penis. It was absolutely divine.

Mom's Day

Happy belated Mother's Day! My mom and I went out to eat at a local pub. We had a few drinks and flirted with a few of the other patrons. Fast forward 11 hours. Mother's Day is nearly over. My mom and I are stoned out of our mind in a 7/11 parking lot. A 60-year-old man is fishing my mom's clothes out of a dumpster, while I braid my hair into corn rows with an old toothbrush and a glob of chewed juicy fruit. It was amazing.

Osama Burial Sacrilege

So Osama bin Laden is allegedly dead, and one of the key points made by U.S. officials has been that he was buried according to Islamic traditions. They've failed to address one glaring contradiction though - the burial at sea. According to wikipedia, Islamic tradition states that an individual may be buried at sea if the following criteria are met:

a) The individual died at sea
b) It is impossible for the body to be transported to land and buried

Well, Osama did NOT die at sea. And it WAS possible for the body to be buried on land. Therefore, the U.S. government did not follow Islamic tradition in their burial of Osama, and they should stop claiming they did.

Here's an article detailing more problems with the 'burial at sea':

Data Stealing Device Used by Police

Apparently it has come to light that a police department in Michigan has been using a device to steal cell phone data remotely. In a matter of seconds, this device can gather all your recent calls, texts, calendar dates, etc. It even captures deleted ones! There is no question that this device is going to be abused. Was wire tapping limited to terrorist suspects? No. If the police can invade your privacy, they will. Unfortunately, it's the law abiding citizens that end up suffering.

Obama Condemns Bradley Manning

US Army Private Bradley Manning has been held in custody since May 2010 because he allegedly passed restricted material to the WikiLeaks. Obama, prior to Manning's trial, has publicly stated that Manning 'broke the law.' Now one must ask: Is it possible for Manning to get a fair trial now that Obama has condemned him? What ever happened to 'innocent until proven guilty'?

And for those of you wondering, the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which is applicable to all military members worldwide, states:

851. ART. 51.c.1 that the accused must be presumed to be innocent until his guilt is established by legal and competent evidence beyond reasonable doubt.

Why Emma Watson is Leaving Brown University

Emma Watson is leaving Brown University. The press does not know why. But I do. It's because she thinks the color brown is repulsive. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an imbecile. I bet Emma throws up every time she thinks of Brown University. I bet she has nightmares about it. Nightmares of brown landscapes with brown skies. I don't blame her. Luckily, there are thousands of schools without 'brown' in their names. I wish her luck on her search for a 'brown-free' university.

CIA in Libya

So the CIA is formally going to Libya. The keyword is 'formally.' We all know the CIA has been in Libya for years. In fact, they're the ones that incited the rebels. The average American is too dumb to realize this.

In other news, listen to "Winter Winds."

Terror

The African Union, Arab League, Russia, China, and various South American leaders have expressed disapproval at the actions of the Americans in Libya. Yet we feel obligated to move on.

Why is the US government so determined to tarnish our international image? We said we weren't targeting Gaddafi, yet we send a missile right into his compound.

Furthermore, Gaddafi has a huge following in Libya. He's arming his citizens because THEY SUPPORT HIM. It's a small batch of rebels causing all the trouble. But the US has to side with the rebel force. Why? Because then we'll be able install a Western friendly government if they win.

Is a few years of a interacting with a more Western friendly government really worth sacrificing the safety of the average American citizen? Is it really worth spending millions and millions of dollars?

Our country is trillions of dollars in debt, yet we're launching million dollar cruise missiles every few minutes. That makes sense.

And just to remind everyone, the Lockerbie bomber came from Libya. On top of that, Gaddafi has PROMISED a wave of terror as retribution for the 'coalition's actions.' This doesn't bother Obama though - he doesn't fly on commercial airlines.

On a similar note, Rep. Kucinich has said that Obama has committed an impeachable offense by authorizing airstrikes on Libya without congresses approval.

"President Obama moved forward without Congress approving. He didn't have Congressional authorization, he has gone against the Constitution, and that's got to be said" - Rep. Kucinich.

My finals are over. Thank heavens! I nearly lost my sanity. Hehe. I'd celebrate, but I can't bring myself to do it while the US is involving itself in another conflict it doesn't need. Let the Europeans deal with that shit. It'll make them feel good about themselves.

My computer has been working well.... My fingers are crossed.

Anyway, finals are next week. And I'm quite nervous. It seems like I just took midterms.... The quarter system is way too fast paced for my liking. I doubt the recall rate is that high for such systems. So how can they justify it? It's archaic, and it's taxing. On me. As well as on society. Woe is me!

A Virus Brought Me Down

If you were wondering why I haven't made a post in awhile, well, here comes the answer: a virus brought me down. I have no idea how I got it. I don't download music, videos, etc. And I don't go to icky sites. I also have an anti-virus. But none of that mattered I guess. Although not being able to blog sucked, it was worse having to go to the library to do school work! Maybe I should start putting a condom over my ethernet cable. :(

George Clooney...to be a politician?

Unfortunately, no. As much as I'd love to see that dreamy man in office, I know it won't happen. How? Because he said so! Specifically, he said, ""I fucked too many chicks and did too many drugs, and that’s the truth." But hey, Mr. Clooney, that never stopped any other politicians! Heck, you can even continue your carousing while you're in office. Oh boy, I'm just getting silly. *cough* Bill Clinton *cough*

But really. I'm not that shallow. Or am I?

Oral Sex Linked to Cancer

So according to a recent study, the number of oral sex partners you have is positively correlated with your chance of getting oropharnyx cancer. I'm not sure how I feel about this. But here's a quote from the source:

"The latest data suggest that 64% of oropharynx cancers - growing in the middle part of the throat - in the United States are caused by HPV, which is more than tobacco causes, said Maura Gillison of Ohio State University. And as the number of partners on whom you have performed oral sex goes up, the risk of oropharnyx cancer goes up."

Something to keep in mind, that's for sure!

Law School Update

Finally, a more serious post! A law school update! So I applied for deferred entry to law school, which means I'd start in 2012. But I hear back from the schools this Winter and Spring. I got rejected from two schools so far and put on the waiting list for another. But on the bright side, I have been invited to an interview, which I will attend in two weeks. This is a very, very good sign! And I am super excited! I hope there are more interviews and acceptances in my future! I have yet to hear back from my top choices, so good things to come maybe :)

Wish me luck everyone!

Midterms

Midterms are finally over. It's about damn time. My bloodshot eyes can only stare at text for so long.

Under Cover of Darkness

I'm excited...because it's here! The Strokes have released their first single for their album "Angles" - and you can download it for free if you sign up for their newsletter before February 11th.

I was pleasantly surprised with the song. And that's an understatement. The rhythm guitar parts are very reminiscent of "Is This It." The lead guitar parts sound like something from "First Impressions of Earth." And in a break from their usual formula, both Albert and Nick play the lead part simultaneously during parts of the song. The drum and bass parts propel the song forward with a simple yet driving pulse.

What is most surprising are the vocals. The melody is a bit more adventurous than the Strokes usually use. And there are harmonies...a few of them. There's a parallel third during much of the chorus, as well as various other harmonies dotting the soundscape.

Overall, an awesome first single. :)

Tranny Alert

Sorry I haven't been posting much. It's because I've been in...

That's right, I went to Vegas. :) I had a blast. There is nothing like doing schoolwork under a palm tree! I could share tales of gambling and partying, but I won't. Instead I will tell you that I sat next to a transgendered female on the flight home. She had extremely large hands and a 5:00 shadow.

Anderson Cooper Attacked in Egypt

Well apparently he was attacked in Egypt. I thought he was a silver fox or something. Wouldn't a fox be able to evade such a simple attack?

Finished a New Book

I had some free time this weekend, so I was able to finish a new law-related book. This one is something I should have started with...it's "Law for Dummies"!!! The title couldn't be more telling. If you are interested in law, yet have no prior knowledge, this is the book for you. I'd even recommend to law students. Heck, even practicing lawyers should keep a copy on hand for reference. Or to use as a tool for explaining things to clients. Definitely recommend the book.

Other than the book, I've been keeping busy with homework. Or should I call it funwork? ;p

P.S. Haven't spoken to the hippie in awhile. Hmm.

Railroaded

The Railroad Earth show was amazing! They played most of my favorite songs. Some guy managed to spill beer on my shirt though, which was not fun. Then he tried to wipe it up with a dirty rag that he found at the bar. It was not win.

Diaries

I started writing in a diary a few months ago. And I must say, it's a depressing practice. I think it's because I only tend to write in it when I'm angry or sad. If someone were to read my diary, I'd seem like a really negative person. Good thing my diary is protected by a tiny lock.

No Strings Attached

I saw the film "No Strings Attached." I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I do know that Ashton looked handsome and Natalie Portman looked pretty.

Other than the film, I haven't been up to much lately. Lots of schoolwork. Midterms are right around the corner.

I feel tired.
